Evidera: Work That Matters
We’re looking for smart, creative, dedicated, people to join us in optimizing patient access with evidence of value, effectiveness, and safety.
As a part of PPD, we are proud to help our clients generate the evidence needed to optimize the market access and commercial potential of their products. Without this essential work, a success in the clinic may never make it into patients’ hands.
Evidera is growing and looking for individuals who want to make a difference in healthcare, grow their careers, and work with some of the brightest in the industry.
We don’t just react to the rapidly evolving industry, we help pave the way for important advancements and changes – including developing new methods, contributing to new guidelines, and participating in industry societies and organizations.
We assess candidates across a variety of scientific and operational functions. From leaders in their fields, to those who are new to the industry, we employ people who have a proactive mind-set when it comes to the work they do and helping the people they work with.
At Evidera, we respect one another and recognize that diversity makes our business stronger. Gain insight into our commitment to being open to different perspectives and points of view to further pursue diversity and inclusion within our teams and practice areas.
Every role here impacts our mission to optimize patient access. Develop your skills and, most important, put your education and talent to use by working in a global collaborative environment, interacting with leaders, building a professional network, and handling real-world business situations. Starting a new job is always a challenging adventure and starting a new job in the middle of the COVID-19 lockdown could generate some anxiety. Just the week before my start day with Evidera, the lockdown in UK was officially announced. A situation that could have been very unsettling, was handled so nicely by the HR team and my soon to be line managers. I got everything needed to set-up my home office and since day one I had one to one virtual sessions scheduled with different colleagues. I am really grateful not only for being able to work on something that I really enjoy but also for the opportunity to continue working in these unprecedent circumstances. The team at Evidera had certainly moved out of the comfort zone to make new staff members such as myself feel welcomed and engaged since day one.
Within the Non-interventional Studies (NIS) team at Evidera, my role is to scientifically lead the design and implementation of real-world studies, broadly aimed to better understand if and how disease treatments can improve the health of the population. I am privileged to be currently collaborating with clients on innovative studies of COVID-19 treatments for patients in critical care.
I came to the fast-paced consulting environment at Evidera from academia and non-profit research and found the best of both worlds. Evidera has a dynamic, exciting, and stimulating work culture. Staff are involved in cutting-edge projects with high-profile clients and Evidera scientists are leaders in the field. While projects can last for years in the academic world, the quick timelines of outcomes research projects let staff take a project from start to finish, which is rewarding. The Evidera staff are also what makes it such a unique and fulfilling job. I’m exposed to some of the top experts in the field who are on hand to mentor staff and collaborate on project work. I have grown with Evidera (through four positions) and am continually challenged. Every day presents something new and different and I’m constantly learning and growing in my role.
Working at Evidera is an ideal combination for me between using my knowledge to perform tasks that I am familiar with, exploring new approaches and methodologies constantly, and a high level of intellectual stimulation in order to always provide optimal solutions to our clients. My job is very stimulating because of the intellectual challenges, continual learning, and progressively increasing levels of responsibility. At the same time it remains fulfilling as I get to work daily with world-class scientists to face challenges and deliver for our clients. What is particularly remarkable and enjoyable is the very dynamic and positive atmosphere within the company at all times, even when confronted with strong demands and tight timelines. Dealing on a daily basis not only with the scientific work but also with team and client management, as well as internal and external communication, offers, I believe, an excellent means to develop a complete set of skills that will be essential throughout one’s career.
Evidera employees endeavour to provide the best set of skills, expertise and the most adapted management methods to be successful in helping and guiding our clients along the road to their success. It is utterly rewarding to bring satisfaction to our clients and, of course, to know that patients will be the ultimate beneficiary of our joint efforts.
What strikes me about my colleagues at Evidera is just how bright and hardworking they are. Everyone has mutual respect for each other and there is a high degree of professionalism that makes a huge difference to my working day. I have learnt a huge amount in my time here so far and my learning continues daily. What I am incredibly grateful for at Evidera is that they have helped me to continue my professional development. I recently have been accepted on a doctorate course and they have supported me every step of the way. The skills and knowledge I have gained from working here will assist me immensely on the doctorate course and vice versa. I look forward to applying the competencies I will gain in my doctorate directly back into my position here. When we are not working, I am fortunate enough to enjoy the social side of Evidera. Many of the members of the London office and I participated in the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge. As team captain of the 5.6km charity run it is a great way to bond with my colleagues in a less formal way, whilst also taking part in a healthy activity that benefits good causes. My time here so far has been hugely rewarding to me in so many ways and I look forward to this continuing in the future.
I became part of the Evidera team shortly after completing my undergraduate career. Although I was unsure exactly which field I would be interested in, I knew that I wanted to apply the research skills I gained at university. At Evidera, I gained a lot of knowledge about the field of health economics, outcomes research, and healthcare in general. I’ve had the opportunity to work in many different types of projects and different disease areas, ranging from oncology to rare diseases. Although the flexibility to choose what types of projects you want to be involved in is great, the thing I enjoy the most is the opportunity to learn something new every day.
