Dear Valued Clients,
As the COVID-19 global pandemic progresses, I wanted to share this important message with you to inform you of our actions and our dedication to your work.
At Evidera, a business of PPD, we are committed to ensuring the safety of our employees, study participants, and clients; helping safeguard public health; and working closely with our clients to ensure the continuity of their development programs. In the face of these challenging times, I am very proud to have already witnessed our staff’s incredible dedication, ingenuity, and positive spirit.
PPD is closely monitoring the pandemic and taking action as required. We have mobilized a cross-functional pandemic response committee, which monitors the pandemic’s progression, government policies world-wide, and official public health recommendations to rapidly develop and implement appropriate policies and procedures to safeguard health and ensure critical business continuity.
As the COVID-19 pandemic unfolds, I want to assure you that we are committed to working closely with you to ensure the continuity of your research programs and minimize disruptions and delays.
- We are deploying digital solutions to enable data collection, report delivery, and internal and external team meetings wherever possible
- We are in contact with your project teams to discuss project risks and mitigation plans, and are available for consultation on the design and implementation of contingency plans
- We have capacity at all levels in the organization to staff projects should key team members require personal or sick time
To reduce risk to our employees and ensure their safety and well-being, we are providing frequently updated guidelines on travel, internal and external meeting planning, and self-care. To implement social distancing while maximizing work productivity, we are limiting personnel in our facilities, with all remote-capable employees working from home through 1 May, a date we will consider extending as we continue assessing the situation. We have suspended all international business travel and are limiting domestic travel to urgent business-critical engagements only. Additionally, we are asking employees to self-quarantine for 14 days if they have been to a travel hotspot or if they, or a member of their household, has a fever, or respiratory or flu-like symptoms.
We are absolutely dedicated to working in this new world. While it will be challenging, we have the tools and most importantly, devoted experts, to keep your important work moving forward.
There is no doubt in my mind that Evidera and the entire PPD organization are at the forefront of keeping our colleagues safe, doing our part for public health, and navigating the complexities of the current crisis. We are pleased to partner with you to make our world a healthier place.
