Baris leads a team of scientists focused on synthesizing and contextualizing published literature, and quantitative analysis of available information for cross-therapy comparisons. Typical offerings include, but are not limited to, network meta-analysis, burden of disease, evidence mapping, and targeted literature reviews. Target audience for his group’s activities varies from external health technology assessment agencies to internal HEOR, market access and clinical development groups. Baris has a particular interest in the development of value stories and effective communication of complex study findings to increase the impact and value in decision making.

Baris has more than 10 years of experience in market access and reimbursement. Prior to joining Evidera, Baris worked both with the industry and consultancy side of the business. While he specializes in decision analytic modeling and advanced model design, he combines extensive experience leading market access launch initiatives, continued support of marketed products post-launch, and strategic alignment of market access activities with other key functions, such as commercial and medical teams. By leveraging health economic and outcomes tools, such as pharmacoeconomic models, he provides custom solutions fit for purpose.

Baris’ work has been presented at international conferences and has been published in a number of respected journals such as Value in Health, Journal of Cardiovascular Medicine, Current Medical Research and Opinion, American Journal of Public Health and Journal of Managed Care Pharmacy. He received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on numerical methods and modeling, and he completed a master’s program in operations research with a focus on mathematical modeling, statistics, and simulation methodologies at Northeastern University.
