Evie’s main areas of expertise are predictive analytics using machine learning, analysis of social media data using natural language processing methods, and pharmacoepidemiology and drug utilization research. She is an experienced R statistical software programmer. Her recent publications include applications of machine learning and natural language processing methods in oncology using healthcare specific social media data, as well as, epidemiological modeling, resource utilization, costs, and treatment patterns studies using large retrospective databases.
Prior to her current role, Evie worked with the HEOR team at IMS Health in Brussels, Belgium. At IMS Health, she performed qualitative analyses comparing the reimbursement systems and criteria to support HTA submissions in Belgium and the Netherlands.
Evie holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from Athens University of Economics and Business and a master’s degree in health economics from Erasmus University of Rotterdam. Her research involved econometric modeling to assess labor opportunity costs of informal caregivers in 11 European countries. Evie has published in Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety, Expert Review of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research, BMC Pregnancy Childbirth, and the International Journal of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
