Purvi has a total of 14 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including 12 years of medical information and medical writing experience. Purvi is responsible for the operational oversight and quality of medical writing projects that span across a variety of document types including manuscripts, protocols, and study reports. She also supports business development opportunities, recruitment, strategic and global resourcing, process improvement initiatives, risk assessments and mitigation plans, and budget management. She has worked on standard reply letters, formulary dossiers, slide decks, and posters and has provided oversight on manuscript development, guidance documents, and protocols in a variety of therapeutic areas including cardiovascular, neurology, oncology, pain management, and infectious disease.
Prior to joining Evidera, Purvi was employed by PPD. Her roles included senior manager, manager, and senior medical writer. Prior to joining the medical writing group at PPD, Purvi served as director of medical information and medical communications at APCER Pharma, where she oversaw and ensured successful completion, alignment and execution of medical affairs and communications, including a global call center, operational strategy, objectives, timelines and initiatives with those of the organization and 10+ clients. She was also responsible for establishing processes to ensure quality and timeliness in handling literature searches, adverse events reports, and product complaints. Purvi’s educational background includes a BS in pharmacy and PharmD from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
